Nagisa turned his head to look back at Makoto. His hands were on the wheel, and his eyes never left the road. He wondered how he could even drive. Nagisa would take that risk, except for the fact that he would probably be too reckless and crash his car within a week. Maybe a small yellow mo-ped would suit him better. Can’t go too fast, easy to control, something to keep Nagisa’s driving in check.
They continued driving, and Nagisa bobbed his head along to the music. Makoto could hold a tune well. Sadly, he couldn’t hold one as well as Makoto, but it didn’t stop him belting out his favourite songs on days. Makoto was going a little slower, making it easy to spot the names of the different restaurants. A quiet rumble erupted from Nagisa’s stomach, and he smiled.
His head perked up at the sound of cold noodles. “Ahhhh yea! Cold noodles!” Nagisa grabbed his little rockhopper penguin wallet which dangled around his neck, and his cellphone which he slotted back into his pocket. “Wah let’s go!” Hopping out of the car in his flip-flops, he shuts the door behind him and heads for the restaurant entrance. “Come on Mako-chan! I’m starving!”
Makoto chuckled under his breath when he seen the boy already head towards the restaurant. If only he could be that energetic, it was always a nice balance though. “Alright! Coming~” he said as he walked over to the entrance of the restaurant along with Nagisa. He looked at the outside of it and noticed the different things they specialized in. Looked like it was pretty popular around this area, he proceeded to open the door of the restaurant and held it open behind him as he walked in. He looked back to make sure Nagisa held the door to step inside as well.
Once inside, the aromas of all types of food hit his nose. His stomach growled because of this, his hunger fully set in now and he was starving. Makoto turned to Nagisa, “Where you wanna sit?” He said shortly after taking a quick look around at the different types of seating. Table or booth, wasn’t too sure which would be a better place to sit.
As soon as Nagisa set foot in the restaurant he was already taking in the amazing atmosphere and the aroma of the food. He looked around to see tables and booths, many of them filled. Must be a popular place.
“Mmm… booth!” Nagisa grabbed Makoto’s larger hand with no hesitation, and dragged him into an empty booth. He pushed Makoto into one side of the booth, and he slid into the other side, bouncing in his seat. The menus was a double sided laminated sheet of paper. It was simple, but he thought that they must be pretty good if this is all they need to bring in this many customers. He grabbed one of the menus, and scanned his eyes over it.
“Hmmmm…”
